How do I contact the Immigration Office Pretoria about my visa application?

After you lodge your visa application:

Please do not contact the Visa and Immigration Section at the Australian High Commission in Pretoria if your visa application is still within standard processing times, unless you have an urgent or compassionate and compelling reason to do so. We process a large volume of visa applications every day, and responding to unnecessary visa queries causes delays in processing applications.

Email is our preferred method of contact, and all enquiries are responded to within 48 hours. You can email us by completing an Enquiry Form from this link. Please select 'Pretoria' as the Overseas Post you would like to contact.

Australian privacy legislation prevents officers from disclosing information to anyone other than the visa applicant unless you have provided formal written authorisation.

We will respond to any email for compassionate and compelling cases on the same day.

 We will not send an email reply for:

-          Confirmation that documents have been received

-          Pre-lodgement enquiries

-          Enquiries about the status of a visa application while it is still within global average processing times for 90% of applications.

For all other queries we will receive a response within two working days.
