How do I apply for a passport?
All passport applications must be lodged in person at an interview with an accredited Australian Passport Officer at the Australian High Commission, Pretoria. Each type of passport application (outlined below) requires specific documentation.

How much is a passport application?
Passport application fees are payable at the time of interview using card. All payments are made in South African Rand only. Fees are reviewed monthly to reflect exchange rate variations. Current application fees can be found using the link below.
Where can I attend an interview?
In South Africa, passport interviews are strictly by appointment only. The High Commission is only represented in Pretoria. When making use of the Gautrain the Hatfield Station is the closest to the High Commission.
